Pair Chinese enamelled crackle glaze vases, c. 1880.
Pair of Chinese porcelain ‘Guan’ type vases, c. 1880. The deliberately crackle glazed vases, well painted in famille rose enamels, with birds, insects and butterflies, flying amongst flowering plants, fruits and vegetables. All on a celadon ground, with regular deep crazing. Further, more complex crazing to the interior.
The footrim similarly decorated, upon a gilt ground.
