Pair of Chinese polychrome decorated clay figures of ladies, c. 1800, Qing Dynasty. One lady wearing an extremely elaborate costume, centered by a butterfly, and an ornate headdress. She holds a child to her right, and a fly whisk in her left hand.
The Second Lady, wears an iron red dress, painted with large blue flowers, and a gilt headdress.
Both figure stand upon an open rockwork base.
Height – 28.5 cm, 11 1/4”.
Condition – Repairs to the hands, and edges of headdresses. Otherwise in excellent condition. Original paintwork.
