Pair of Meissen porcelain candelabra, c.1870. Modelled after J.J. Kaendler, as a huntsman and his companion, seated between trees, and wearing 18th Century costume. The twin branched candelabra, with floral encrustation, terminating beneath original, flower painted sconces.
Set upon grassy mound bases, with rocaille moulding, heightened in gilt.
Crossed swords marks, and incised model numbers to the bases.
Height – 20.2 cm, 8”.
Width – 18.5 cm, 7 1/4”.
Depth – 10.7 cm, 4 1/4”.
Condition – Excellent.
