A fine, large pair of Staffordshire pottery Spaniels, c.1840. Both seated dogs, with separate front legs, and broad backsides. Finely moulded hair, and painted with underglaze black spots. Having yellow eyes, grey paws, pink muzzles, and wearing gilt chains, with lockets.
All beneath a deep pearl ware glaze, with pooling in the recesses of the moulded hair.
