Pair of Paris Porcelain Candlesticks, Jacob Petit, circa 1840
Pair of Paris porcelain candlesticks, probably Jacob petit, circa 1840. The elegant, fluted candlesticks, formed as separate porcelain sections, bolted together. Beautifully hand painted with a profusion of Spring flowers, between gilt borders, upon on a cream ground.
The sconces similarly decorated, and topped with a garland of flowers.
Measures: Height – 19 cm, 7 1/2”.
Diameter of base – 9.2 cm, 3 5/8”.
Condition – Typical minor wear to the gilding. No damage. No restoration.
