Pair Staffordshire ‘Disraeli Curls’ Greyhounds, c. 1850.

A fine pair of Staffordshire pottery Greyhounds, c. 1850. Both elegantly modelled hounds painted with large underglaze black spots, and ‘Disraeli Curls’ to their heads, and are stood with their catch of hares. Set upon grassy mound bases, with a ‘dash and dot’ gilt line to the foot.

Length – 23 cm, 9 1/8”.

Height – 27.5 cm, 10 7/8”.

Width – 9.5 cm, 3 3/4”.

Condition – Very minor wear to the overglaze enamel. No damage. No restoration.
