Pair of large Staffordshire pottery figures, c. 1850. Modelled as the Royal Children, seated upon two large dogs. The dogs painted with large liver coloured spots, feathered at the edges.
Set upon oval bases, encrusted with grasses, and having single gilt lines to the front of the bases.
Length – 22.5 cm, 8 7/8”.
Height – 24 cm, 9 1/2”.
Depth – 9.3 cm, 3 5/8”.
Condition – Repair to both hands. Typical minor wear to the enamels. Overall, excellent condition.
