Pair of Staffordshire pottery Greyhound quill holders, c. 1850. The finely modelled Greyhounds, recumbent upon shaped bases, coloured in underglaze cobalt blue, edged in gilt. Each base with apertures to hold quills.
Length – 16.5 cm, 6 1/2”.
Height – 12 cm, 4 3/4”.
Depth – 7.3 cm, 2 7/8”.
Condition – Repair to ears, otherwise in excellent condition.
