Pair Staffordshire pottery cats, c. 1860.

Pair of unusual Staffordshire pottery cats, c. 1860. Modelled as two seated cats, with amusing expressions on their faces. Hand painted with tortoiseshell markings, yellow eyes, curled black tails, and wearing blue collars.
Set upon oval bases, with single gilt lines.

Height – 21 cm, 8 1/4”.

Width – 10.6 cm, 4 1/4”.

Depth – 6.4 cm, 2 1/2”.

Condition – Some restoration – particularly to the ears.
