Pair of Staffordshire pottery Greyhounds, c. 1860. The hounds well modelled, one holding a hare in its mouth, the other with his catch at his side. Both standing before tree trunks, moulded with ferns.
Set upon oval mound bases, sprigged and enamelled with grass. Single gilt lines to the underglaze cobalt blue bases.
Height – 26.5 cm, 10 3/8”.
Width – 22 cm, 8 5/8”.
Depth – 8 cm, 3 1/8”.
Condition – Typical minor wear to the gilding. No damage. No restoration.
