Pair Staffordshire recumbent hounds. Enoch Wood, c. 1830.

A good pair of Staffordshire pottery figures of hounds. Enoch Wood factory, c. 1830. The recumbent hounds, wit( their front legs crossed, painted with brown markings, and wearing yellow collars. Both hounds laid upon grassy mound shaped bases, edged in overglaze blue enamel. All under a pearlware glaze.

Length – 16 cm, 6 1/4”.
Height – 9 cm, 3 1/2”.
Width – 8 cm, 3 1/8”.

Condition – Repair to ears. Typical minor wear to overglaze enamel.
