Paris porcelain coffee pot. Roses, c. 1820.

Fine Paris porcelain ‘Empire’ coffee pot, c. 1820. Possibly decorated in London with beautifully hand painted sprays of roses to the body, and the cover. The moulded scroll shaped handle, terminating in a stylised acanthus leaf motif, and gilded. Having a leaf moulded spout, attached at the body, with a sharply modelled female mask. The circular cover similarly decorated, within a gilt dentil rim, and having a gilt tear drop finial.

Condition: Some typical wear to the gilding - please see images for detail. No damage. No restoration.
