Prattware cow and maid group, Mexborough, c. 1820.

Prattware pottery cow and maid group, James Emery, Mexborough, Yorkshire, c. 1820. Well modelled as a maid, carrying a basket of flowers, and a watering can, stood before a large black spotted cow. Beside her, rests a recumbent calf, all upon a shaped rectangular base.
Decorated in typical Pratt glazes.

Height – 15 cm, 5 7/8”.

Length – 14.7 cm, 5 3/4”.

Depth – 7.5 cm, 2 7/8”.

Condition – Repair to one horn, and one teat. Otherwise excellent.
