A Qajar pottery cat, Iran, circa 1880. The chubby seated cat, painted to the body with two large fish, and a bird in underglaze enamels. The cat wears a yellow collar, and its moulded tail sweeps around his side.
Height – 14 cm, 5 1/2”
Width – 8.5 cm, 3 3/8”.
Depth – 8.5 cm, 3 3/8”.
Condition – Excellent. No damage. No restoration.
