Qajar Pottery Seated Cat, circa 1880
A Qajar pottery cat, Iran, circa 1880. The chubby seated cat, painted to the body with two large fish, a bird and an insect in underglaze enamels. The cat wears a yellow collar, and it’s moulded tail sweeps around to under its chin.
Measures: Height – 13 cm, 5 1/8”.
Width – 8 cm, 3 1/8”.
Depth – 8 cm, 3 1/8”.
Condition – Excellent. No damage. No restoration.
