Inspired by a Chinese Export porcelain model, the quatrelobed tureen is hand painted in underglaze blue, with chinoiserie rover scenes of pavilions on islands, divided by birds flying around sprays of flowers. Having a cell net diaper rim, with a large spray of flowers to the interior.
The cover similarly painted and having four sprays of flowers, beneath a large bud finial, issuing from a leafing branch.
