Royal Crown Derby porcelain teapot, Imari, d. 1882.

Royal Crown Derby porcelain teapot, dated 1882. The oval, lightly lobed teapot, printed and painted in Imari colours, with shaped panels of birds in trees, and flowering plants, on a larger ground of flowering branches. Having a strap handle, and short spout, heightened with gilt decoration.
The oval cover, similarly decorated in the Imari style, and surmounted by a gilt edged finial.

Iron red printed factory mark, with date code for 1882. Painted pattern number 192, to both the teapot, and cover.

Length – 28 cm, 11”.

Height – 13.5 cm, 5 1/4”.

Width – 12 cm, 4 3/4”.

Condition – Excellent. No damage. No restoration.
