Royal Crown Derby vase and cover, Desire Leroy, dated 1897.

Royal Crown Derby porcelain vase and cover, painted by Desire Leroy, dated 1897. The Sevres style twin handled vase, hand painted with swags of flowers, suspended from a vase containing flowers, divided by panels of blue flowers.
The shoulder of the vase, with panels of gilt floral scroll, divided by turquoise bands.
Set upon a scroll moulded pedestal foot, enamelled in turquoise, with gilt scrollwork.
The oval cover, with further gilt scrolling foliage, and surmounted by a flower from finial.

Signed Leroy in puce enamel.

Iron red printed factory marks, and date code for 1897.

Length – 17 cm, 6 5/8”.

Height – 14.5 cm, 5 3/4”.

Depth – 10.5 cm, 4 1/8”.

Condition – Excellent. No damage. No restoration.
