Royal Worcester ‘Reticulated’ jug, dated 1889.

Royal Worcester porcelain double walled, ‘reticulated’ jug, dated 1889. The body of the jug, worked in the manner of George Owen, with the body pierced in a honeycomb design, divided by shield like motif, and enamelled. Having two finely gilded panels of painted country scenes.

The waisted neck, with stylised flowerheads, in raised enamels and gilt. Having a bamboo style handle, heightened in gilt.

Green printed factory marks and date code for 1889 to the base.

Height – 10.4 cm, 4 1/4”.

Width – 9.5 cm, 3 3/4”.

Condition – Perfect. No damage. No restoration.
