Satsuma Pottery Vase, Kinkozan, circa 1900, Meiji Period

Satsuma pottery vase, Kinkozan, circa 1900, Meiji Period. The globular vase hand painted with a panel of a Bijin and children playing in a garden. The reverse with birds amongst flowering plants. Having elaborately gilded borders of textile designs, and flowerheads, highlighted with turquoise enamel, on a cobalt blue ground.
Kinkozan signature to the base.

Measures: Height – 6.5 cm, 2 1/2”.
Diameter – 6.5 cm, 2 1/2”.

Condition – Excellent. No damage. No restoration.
