A fine ‘Sevres’ porcelain ‘Jewelled’ casket, with ormolu mounts, c. 1880. The rectangular casket, well painted to the cover, with a scene of rustic lovers, wearing 18th Century costume, in a garden setting, within a tooled gilt, and white enamel beaded border. The sides, decorated with foliate and scroll motifs in gilt, with further ‘jewelling’. Set upon four gilt metal scroll feet.
The interior with original velvet lining.
Gilt interlaced ‘L’s mark to the base.
