Spode Caramanian series soup plate, c. 1810. Printed in underglaze blue, with the ‘City of Corinth’; two men travelling away from the city, on horseback, whilst a colleague walks with a dog, before Classical ruins. The border with prints of animals from the ‘Indian Sporting Series’.
Impressed ‘Spode’, and ‘2’ to the reverse.
