Spode porcelain vase, c. 1820. Hand painted with a daffodil and a rose, along with further flowers, amongst finely gilded shells. All on an underglaze cobalt blue ground.
The vase with elaborated twin scroll handles, heightened in gilt, and set upon a circular pedestal foot.
Iron red ‘SPODE’ mark to the underside of the base.
Height – 21.5 cm, 8 1/2”.
Width – 19 cm, 7 1/2”.
Condition – Some wear to the gilding – please see images for detail. No damage. No restoration.
