Staffordshire pottery ‘British History’ series, tureen stand, Jones & Son, c. 1830. Printed, in underglaze blue, with a dramatic, titled scene of ‘The 7 Bishops conveyed to the Tower’.
The shaped border printed with symbols of the State, amongst the flowers of the Union. Moulded with twin scroll handles.

Printed title and factory mark to the reverse.
