Staffordshire pottery Musical Shepherds bocage group, c. 1830. Modelled as two shepherds in 18th Century dress, seated on rocks, before a bocage. The shepherdess listens intently, whilst he plays music on a pipe.
The shepherds dog sits before him, whilst a goat, and a sheep lay before them.
Decorated in enamels, beneath a pearlware glaze.
Height – 27 cm, 10 5/8”.
Width – 15 cm, 6”.
Depth – 12 cm, 4 3/4”.
Condition – Repair to pipe, and her crook. Minor wear to the glaze.
