Staffordshire pottery figure of a Dalmatian, c. 1860. The elegant, seated Dalmation painted with numerous black spots, in underglaze black, and wearing a gilt collar and chain.
Set upon an oval base, painted in underglaze cobalt blue, and having a gilt ‘dash, dot, dash’ line to the front.
Height – 13 cm, 5 2/8”.
Width – 8.3 cm, 3 1/4”.
Depth – 5.5 cm, 2 1/8”.
Condition – Typical wear to the gilding. No damage. No restoration.
