Staffordshire pottery figure of a Hound, c. 1840. Finely modelled as a seated hound, wearing a gilt collar and yellow chain. Painted with liver coloured spots.
Set upon an oval mound base, coloured in underglaze cobalt blue, and having a single gilt line around the base.
Height – 11.7 cm, 4 5/8”.
Width – 11.5 cm, 4 1/2”.
Depth — 8 cm, 3 1/8”.
Condition – Firing fault to left front paw – please see images for detail. No damage. No restoration.
