Pair of Staffordshire pottery loving cups, c. 1830. Made to commemorate the marriage of Richard and Anne Dalton, both cups inscribed in black enamel with their names in panels. Printed in underglaze blue with the ‘Willow Pattern’, the twin handled cups set upon circular pedestal feet.
All beneath a pearlware glaze.
Height – 14.5 cm, 5 3/4”.
Width (Across the handles) – 19.5 cm, 7 3/4”.
Depth – 11.6 cm, 4 1/2”.
Condition – Firing fault to one pedestal – please see images for detail. No damage. No restoration.
