Staffordshire salt glaze stoneware cream jug, c. 1755. The finely potted silver shaped cream jug vibrantly enamelled in the Chinese famille rose taste, with flowering plants emerging from behind rocks. The rim of the jug enamelled in green and puce, with a black cell diaper motif.
Having a simple strap handle, with heart shaped terminal at the base.
Height – 7.6 cm, 3”.
Width (Handle to spout) – 7.6 cm, 3”.
Condition – Repair to small chips on the rim. Otherwise excellent condition.
