Staffordshire pottery Stag and Doe spill vase, John Parr factory, c. 1870. Well modelled as a stag stood before a tree, with a recumbent doe before him. Both painted in naturalistic colours, and set upon a grassy mound base.
Height – 22 cm, 8 5/8”.
Width – 18 cm, 7 1/8”.
Depth – 11.5 cm, 4 1/2”.
Condition – Firing crack to the base. Some minor wear to the enamels. Please see images for detail. No restoration.
