Worcester porcelain ‘Dutch jug’, c. 1758. The cabbage leaf moulded jug, well painted in underglaze blue, with ‘The Cabbage Leaf Jug Floral’ pattern, of a large flowering plant, and insects. Having the slightly earlier, simpler loop handle, with acanthus leaf moulding to the thumb piece, rather than the the more common, elaborate ‘C’ scroll handle.

Workman’s mark in underglaze blue to the base.
