Worcester porcelain saucer, Earl of Dalhousie pattern, c. 1780. The fluted saucer, beautifully hand painted, with a central roundel containing a river landscape. The well finely painted with fruit and insects, within a gilded underglaze, cobalt blue border.
Having a gilt dentil rim.
Underglaze blue Crescent mark to the underside.
Diameter – 13.5 cm, 5 1/4”.
Condition – Typical minor wear to the enamel and gilding. No damage. No restoration.
